Connect with your baby while receiving the benefits of yoga.
For moms and babies, from 3 weeks (6 weeks with a Cesarean birth) to approximately six months or crawling. Yoga experience in not necessary.
This yoga class offers gentle yoga poses to help new moms tone their abdominal muscles and gain body strength, helping to meet the demands of motherhood.
A reminder for your practice, yoga meets you at your level – it is important to listen to your body, to not push yourself and to slow down if a posture causes discomfort. Each class incorporates breath work as sometimes moms need a gentle reminder to breathe!
Class time also provides an opportunity to share information, parenting tips and gain support from other woman who are at similar stages of motherhood.
What to bring: A yoga mat (for mom), a baby blanket, a Boppy pillow (if you already have one, please do not purchase anything new), plus whatever “supplies” your baby may need.
Class is held every Tuesday at 11 am. No pre-registration is required.
